fire safety saves lives

Those of us in the Cahuenga Pass know we live in an area that has an extremely high fire danger (see map below). The recent devastating fires in Altadena and Pacific Palisades are clear and sad examples of what can happen when the destructive forces of nature run amok.

Recently, a group of Cahuenga Pass residents got together to create a Wildfire Safety Committee. The goal of this group is to educate, coordinate and activate our neighbors to make our individual homes, families and our community better able to withstand a wildfire and to make our neighborhood less ignitable.
